Lime nitrogen is a mixture of calcium cyanamide, calcium oxide, and other insoluble impurities, which is gray-black. Industrial products are dark gray powder or particles because of impurities such as carbon (graphite). It has the smell of calcium carbide or ammonia. It is an alkaline fertilizer and one of the main raw materials of high-efficiency and low-toxicity carbendazim pesticides. It can be used as herbicides, fungicides and pesticides, and can be used to produce dicyandiamide, melamine, and cyanogen melts.

Storage

Precautions for use
Wear work clothes, masks, and gloves when handling. Rain-proof and waterproof equipment shall be provided during transportation. In case of fire, sand and dry powder fire extinguishers can be used to put out the fire, but water cannot be used to save it.
Toxicity and protection

After acute poisoning, there may be organic neurological diseases, limb weakness, and subsequent polyneuritis. The lethal dose to humans is 40 ~ 50g. Chronic poisoning often occurs with asthmatic bronchitis and bronchial wheezing, chronic gastritis and hepatitis, low blood pressure, myocardial malnutrition, sexual dysfunction, thyroid and adrenal dysfunction, and dry skin, itching, and dermatitis. Falling into the eyes can cause suppurative conjunctivitis, corneal ulcer, and turbidity. The emergency treatment is to keep quiet. When the eye mucosa is damaged, wash it carefully with water or normal saline, and then drop 1% novocaine solution into the eye; When acute dermatitis occurs, a wet bandage made of lead water can be given, and the liquid can be tightly applied; For minor burns, apply 1% ~ 2% gentian violet, methylene blue or bright green alcohol solution to the injured part. For minor burns, tinctures of iodine, nitrofurazone, and sterilization tape can be used. Staff should wear overalls, gloves, protective glasses, and masks when working. Apply a non-irritating fat ointment to the skin of the hand first. Strictly observe personal hygiene measures.
