Usage
Guanidine hydrochloride is produced by dicyandiamide and ammonia chloride as the main raw materials, used as pharmaceutical intermediates of organic synthesis, and is the important raw material to manufacture sulfa drugs, folic acid. sulfanilamide methyl pyridine. sulfanilamide dimethyl pyrimidine. In addition, it is used as a strong denaturant in the RNA cell extraction experiments. The Guanidine hydrochloride solution can dissolve protein, which leads to the destruction of the cellular structure and the nucleoprotein secondary structure; departing from the nucleic acid, the RNA enzymes can be inactivated by guanidine hydrochloride and other reducing agents.
The industrial-grade guanidine hydrochloride and 60% guanidine hydrochloride solution are the intermediates in making the pesticides, dyes, and organic synthesis. They also can be used as antistatic agents of the synthetic fiber.
