Overview of Cyanamide industry

Overview of Cyanamide industry
Cyanamide is usually referred to as cyanamide, whose molecular structure contains cyanogen groups (-CN) and amine groups (-NH2), which can be added and substituted with a variety of compounds. Due to its very active chemical properties, monocyyandiamide is prone to polymerization to form Dicyandiamide. Thiourea also contains cyanide groups and amine groups in its chemical structure.
At present, the industrial production of cyanamide at home and abroad mainly adopts the synthesis route of calcium cyanamide and carbon dioxide as raw materials. After years of development, a rich product system has been formed along the chemical reaction chain of cyanamide. Therefore, the current melamine industry refers to the collection of all units engaged in the production and operation of monocyanamide, dicyandiamide, thiourea and derivative products on the chemical reaction chain based on calcium cyanamide as the raw material. The products involved in the melamine industry are collectively referred to as melamine products, among which, calcium cyanamide as the base product, monocyanamide, dicyandiamide, thiourea and cyanamide derivative products on the chemical reaction chain are melamine fine chemicals.
At present, the melamine industry has formed three main industrial chains around monocyanamide, dicyandiamide and thiourea, which are:
1. Pharmaceutical pesticide raw materials and intermediates industry chain represented by calcium cyanamide - monocyanamide - creatine/cyanoethyl ester products;
2. Calcium cyanamide - dicyandiamide - guanidine salt - pharmaceutical pesticide raw materials and intermediates industry chain;
3. Pharmaceutical pesticide raw materials and intermediates industry chain represented by calcium cyanamide - thiourea - thiourea, replacing thiourea.
There are many kinds of melamine products, long industrial chain and high product correlation, and the products are widely used in pesticide, medicine, paint, fertilizer, electronics, textile printing and dyeing, adhesives, flame retardant materials, water treatment, new materials, aerospace, military civil explosion and chemical fertilizer and other fields.
